Today marks the first day of spring! We can all appreciate the fact that we no longer need to walk around in heavy winter parkas or clunky boots. (This may not be the case for my fellow Torontonians… snow may still be happening next week!)
Transitioning into spring is always tricky because the weather can be super bipolar. As a result, it’s easy to end up dressing inappropriately for the weather. Sometimes you wear too much; other times you end up wearing not enough. Needless to say, layers are a must!
The beginning of spring is an indicator that exams are coming up; definitely not something I am looking forward to. The worst feeling is trying to study while the weather is beautiful outside. I’ve been meaning to do a blog post on pharmacy school since a few people have asked me to talk about it. Hoping to get that up soon!
Speaking of amazing weather during spring, there’s nothing better than sunglasses to protect your eyes from UV rays. I picked up these amazing Ferragamo sunglasses from Holly Eyewear in Yorkville. I’ve been wanting to find a pair of sunglasses that are versatile but trendy at the same time. I fell in love with these because of the gold detailing. The gold lining the rounded hexagonal frames stand out perfectly against a black gradient lens. I thought the hexagonal shape was unique and goes well with my face shape (square).
Main things I look for when buying sunglasses:
- Sunglasses that are large enough to cover a good portion of my face.
- Dark tint to protect my eyes from the sun.
- Sunglasses that sit properly on my face so they are not sliding down or hitting my cheeks.
