For skin, I find the most important thing is to always remove your make-up at the end of the day and cleanse your face. This helps ensure that you maintain healthy and clean skin. Furthermore, treating yourself with weekly face masks is a great way to pamper yourself and to do a deep cleanse or add some extra moisture to your face. Remember to treat your skin right and never pick at pimples. This can lead to scarring and may take longer to heal or result in permanent skin discolouration. Something that I am guilty of not doing is applying sunscreen. I always forget, so I try to place my sunscreen in a spot where I will always reach for. I notice that I have less sunspots now that I am applying sunscreen more regularly. I believe it’s crucial to apply sunscreen even when it is not sunny outside or during the winter.
In terms of nails, I like to take breaks from having painted nails. It’s always good to let your nails breathe. I frequently use cuticle oil, especially in the winter. My nails and hands get super dry so cuticle oil is essential for maintaining healthy nails.
With respect to hair, I have bleached hair so it is extra important for me to take care of it. I try not to use hair tools frequently and I always deep condition every week. Hair masks are great for restoring moisture to your hair. Sometimes I even go to sleep with coconut oil and wash it out the next day. I find that it really helps to give you sleek and shiny hair.
